Food and wine

Ligurian cuisine, as it should, reflects the characteristics of the region. Therefore this is a cuisine of both land and sea, with the natural fusion of the dual soul that distinguishes this region: the coast, and the hinterland.

For visitors seeking to sample the delights of regional food, there's an embarrassment of riches. Inland there's plenty of choice: typical inns, home cooking and rural guest houses, but also restaurants that combine tradition with a more sophisticated and elegant style.

The coast obviously offers a more "touristy" range, but the quality is excellent nonetheless. Nearby Alassio has an incredible wealth of restaurants for all tastes and budgets: from traditional to ethnic, seafood restaurants to pizzerias.
